This vintage-style black petticoat is the perfect layering piece to keep you cozy this season. It can be worn alone or under other dresses and skirts.
This petticoat pokes out perfectly under any of our Long Skirts, Pinafores, Rosemary Dresses, or any other skirt or dress that needs a little extra femininity. This petticoat is a stretchy cotton jersey with a lace ruffle.
MATERIAL- Soft knit deadstock fabric. Deadstock is what is left over when larger fashion houses discard their fabric and by using it, we are striving to keep more fabric out of landfills. This petticoat is comfortable and very long. I’m 5’11” and it reaches my ankles, which never happens. I actually wanted something shorter but this will work with my longest skirts so I’m keeping it. The fabric is soft, but fairly lightweight so you may not want to wear it alone as a skirt depending on weather conditions (and in my case, stomach rolls, lol, as it shows all my curves). It was a little pricy for me so I thought twice, but turns out customer service contacted me because they could not guarantee the fabric is wool and offered a discount. I accepted it even though I was hoping for the warmth of wool because I think I’ll get use out of it and because it’s longer than anything else I can usually find. BTW, this experience left me very impressed with customer service and their commitment to satisfaction.

What a delight! I haven’t tried this yet, but I know it will look well beneath my dark merino wool dress with full skirt. I have it in mind to try with several of my longer lighter weight skirts & dresses, & I’m confident it will get a lot of wear. I feel so feminine & floaty wearing my petticoats. They are wonderful!
