Sews for RevivALL- Rosemary Dresses, Pinafores, Petticoats, Bloomers, Long Jumpers

Addy and Monica live in Springfield, Oregon, and sew out of a home studio. They started sewing bloomers for RevivALL  about 12 years ago and also sew for a couple other clothing brands in Eugene. They met in Guatemala City, sewing at a factory making mens suits. Monica started working as a seamstress at 9 and Addy was 13! They both have over 30 years of experience. The 3 most important things to them are family, good health, and work because “if you are healthy, you can work”. When they aren’t working, they enjoy making meals that take a long time like chile rellenos and tamales! Though Addy and Monica love to sew, they never make clothes for themselves. They’d rather just go buy something because they enjoy shopping. A goal of Addy’s is to buy a house so she could have more room to sew. One of Monica’s is to travel to Italy (last year, she visited South Korea!)

Mallory is a talented, 8-year Bozeman local who grew up in the Atlanta suburbs but has no trace of a southern accent. Laura has worked with her since 2017, and brought her on as primary photographer in 2021. While studying her craft in college, Mallory knew she was born for this work. She says, “As a natural introvert, photography has given me the gift of deep connection with fewer words.” Her work in photography provides endless inspiration as she gets to know people, especially small business owners. She believes that in life, no one can do it alone, and that the greatest gift of being human is the opportunity to help each other along the journey, documentation included. When she’s not shooting the latest Revivall designs, she is enjoying the outdoors and snuggling with her little rez dog named Ellie. 

Janine grew up in a small town on the Delaware in New Jersey, where her mother taught her to quilt, and where she’d enter her entirely hand-stitched designs into the 4-H fair each summer. These days, using her mother’s vintage Singer connects Janine to the many generations of women in her family for whom seamstress work and sewing was second nature. Revivall’s commitment to use scrap and deadstock materials was enticing to Janine; repurposing remnants to create new designs has always been a passion of hers. Her inspiration is fueled by nature, traditional handicrafts, and floral, feminine patterns, though ultimately, the work itself is the muse: “I always feel grounded when I sit down to push the needle through layers of fabric.” Fly fishing, reading through her current stack of thrifted books, and spending time in the mountains with her two pups are where you’ll find her in her spare time. Her guiding mantra is “Live your best life and plan bravely.”

Cora’s love for sewing began in 7th grade in a home economics class where she sewed a dress out of some funky 60’s fabric. Her passion for working with textiles grew as she would piece together doll clothing and more in the back of her parents’ shop on a rented sewing machine. This all took place in her hometown in Nova Scotia, a beloved territory in which she resides every year from May to October. Next to textiles, hiking is one of her greatest joys, trekking through any kind of weather Montana has to offer, or navigating a coast to coast hike across the UK. In 2019, she completed this trek, taking with her the prototype of Revivall’s new Dorothy Catherine dress. While her two daughters and granddaughter mean the world to her, Cora values alone time to reflect on life. Her current resolve is to learn to sit still more often in order to enjoy the stack of books she wants to read. This year, Cora and her husband will have been married 40 years and she wishes she still had that dress from 7th grade.
