Reminiscent of a riding skirt, this prairie skirt looks straight out of another time!  With the fitted yoke waist detail, this dark green wool skirt is flattering and feminine. Notice how all of the front lines match up across the front. That is a sign of tremendous attention to detail by our new manufacturer in Tennessee.

There is a cinch closure in the back that allows you to adjust to your perfect waist size. Add the two front and two back pleats and it’s flow-y enough to move with you as you work around the farm. Antique brass buttons down the front add for a vintage feel and pockets, because, you know, they’re essential. Shown here with the new Midi Petticoat and a Vintage Thermal top.

MATERIAL- Dark green wool-medium weight deadstock fabric. Deadstock is what is left over when larger fashion houses discard their fabric and by using it, we are striving to keep more fabric out of landfills. This also ensures we are not participating in the new fabric industry, which is extremely harmful on our planet. Want to know more about deadstock fabric? Click here.

When I saw the color of this skirt, I knew I had to buy it. I am so glad that I did. The design is super flattering, the wool is super warm, and I just realized that because the buttons go all the way down, I can also use this as an actual riding skirt when I ride my horse! I was in between a small and medium, (my waist is 28-29″) but there were only smalls left in stock, so I took my chances with the small. It was a tiny bit tight at first, but since I’ve been wearing it, it has stretched out a bit and now it is perfect! I love my new skirt.

I live in Maine and this skirt is warm and friendly.
