I bought these capes years ago thinking I would turn them into something but recently decided to wear one in the snow and cold weather for horseback riding and fell in love. The waterproof fabric keeps the snow and rain off, plus it traps your body heat underneath to keep you warm.
The collar can be buttoned up around your face, buttoned back away from your face, or left down. I’ve been told these capes could also have been made into tents to keep soldiers dry.
