You’ve been asking for years and we finally made these vintage style riding skirts. They’re basically wide leg pants with a sailor front closure.  This wool tweed skirt is flattering and feminine. There is a cinch closure in the back that allows you to adjust to your perfect waist size.  Antique brass buttons down the front add for a vintage feel and pockets, because, you know, they’re essential.

*The sizing on these is different from other styles. Pay attention to the hip measurements because the waist can be cinched in. The crotch is a drop crotch so the inseam looks really short but note the length of the outer seam from waist to hem. I’m wearing a medium in these photos and cinched the waist all the way closed. I usually wear an XS but I liked the look of the snatched waist.

Fit: Pay attention to the hip measurement because the waist can be cinched. The skirt will give you curves even if you don’t have them to begin with. Sizing is extremely forgiving because though it is designed to fit more high-waisted, it can be worn lower on the hips. Waist can be further adjusted with the cinch at the back.

Material: Brown tweed wool deadstock fabric with flecks of color. Deadstock is what is left over when larger fashion houses discard their fabric and by using it, we are striving to keep more fabric out of landfills.     These are lovely, I ride in them with leggings underneath and they are warm and comfortable. The rise is pretty long on me, that is the only thing I would change. I hope you make more in the future!

    These are amazing!!! I debated and am super glad I purchased. I bought a size larger than usual and glad I did as they sit high-waisted and therefore a little snug to get over hips. The fabric is beautiful and the construction is outstanding. This is one of my favorite articles of clothing -ever.
