Long Sleeve Dorothy Catherine Dress in Brandywine-Small Left!

(1 customer review)

The Dorothy Catherine has a similar history to the Rosemary Dress. One of RevivALL’s expert seamstresses, Cora, found this dress in her Mother’s closet after she passed away. It was actually Cora’s elder daughter that spotted the potential of this dress. We always love a good wrap dress and have been wanting to make one for years, so when Cora brought me this idea, it was an no brainer.

Why do we love this new dress so much? Adjustable tie closure makes it an easy fit, the smocking at the shoulder adds a touch of romance, and the cap sleeves are reminiscent of the 1940s. This fabric is a rayon with a lovely drape. Model is wearing size extra small. She also has it layered over the Vintage Style Cotton Petticoat . Please note that because this dress is so adjustable, the size chart below lists base measurements.

Deadstock rayon floral fabric. Deadstock is what is left over when larger fashion houses discard their fabric and by using it, we are striving to keep more fabric out of landfills. This also ensures we are not participating in the new fabric industry, which is extremely harmful on our planet. Want to know more about deadstock fabric? Click here.

This is a true vintage style beauty. The print is dainty and the brown background is almost caramel coloured – it have serious retro vibes. The smocking at the shoulders is so well done, the bodice ends at my natural waist and the petticoat is a must have to go with this dress. This is a dress you’ll pull out of your closet again and again, and your daughters will want to wear it too. Looks so cute with boots now and sandals in the summer.
