Helen Blouse in September Rose
*Not shown is the precious scalloped embroidered hem line*
At a photo shoot this Spring, my friend, Shauna White Bear, brought a blouse to pair with the Denim Overalls. She had just picked it up from our favorite local vintage shop, Rare Bird. At first I thought it was too boxy but as soon as it was on, I realized it was perfect and we had to pattern it. After some minor adjustments, we are in love with RevivALL’s newest top-the Helen. My Great Aunt Helen lived in Woodstock, Virginia, and I have many fond memories of being at her house, and of her. She taught me the old school way of washing dishes and we would watch the Grand Ole Opry together. She wore a shirt similar to this every single day, except hers were mostly polyester.
For a little more sass, tie the bottom or un-button a few snaps. Tuck it in or wear it loose, this shirt is an easy fit and goes well with the Heirloom Pumpkin Lacey Jean Skirt, the Dusty Blue Linen Lacey Jean Skirt, or the Denim Work Overalls.
