I’ve always been obsessed with Gunne Sax dresses and finally decided to use that inspiration on a new  summer floral skirt. There’s ribbon and lace detail added around the bottom ruffle. Of course, there’s pockets and buttons down the front that you can open up to show a little more leg. Hike it up with the new Leather Skirt Hike! Also shown with the Prairie Blouse In Strawflower.

The pockets on this prairie skirt are patchwork from our Spring fabrics and are part of our Zero Waste Initiative project to re-use all of our fabric scraps. The fabric of this skirt has a sheen to it so it looks like satin.

The Prairie skirt tells a timeless tale of romance and grit. Wear it and embody your inner pioneer.

Fit: Runs on the small side. Unbutton from the bottom to show some leg. Elastic in the back of waist gives only a slight adjustment in sizing. Best for average-curved to straight body shapes.

Material: Purple, cream, and green colored floral rayon deadstock fabric. It has a subtle sheen, very soft and silky, drapey, and reads more dressed up. Deadstock is what is left over when larger fashion houses discard their fabric and by using it, we are striving to keep more fabric out of landfills. This also ensures we are not participating in the new fabric industry, which is extremely harmful on our planet. Want to know more about deadstock fabric? Click here.

Details: Bottom ruffle, elastic at the back of the waistband, buttons down the front, pockets, ribbon and lace trim accents. The pockets are made of patchwork pieces from our zero-waste initiative. So cute paired with a denim jacket.
