Wool Pencil Skirt in Brown Pinstripe

We made this skirt based on a vintage pencil skirt that our friend, Shauna White Bear, loved. It’s taken about a year of admiring it before it actually got patterned and sampled.  Cue the classic pencil skirt, but add pockets of course! With the antique brass buttons on the front left and right placket, it can be unbuttoned for more range of motion or kept closed for a more modest feel. Even closed, there is enough range of motion to walk freely.

A classic Pencil Skirt cut with pockets

Material: Brown pinstriped wool deadstock fabric. Deadstock is what is left over when larger fashion houses discard their fabric and by using it, we are striving to keep more fabric out of landfills. Details: pockets, back zip closure, buttons down the front on the left and right. Buttons can be undone from the bottom up to show a bit of leg.
