- Lacey Jean flatters nearly every figure.
Fit: Pay attention to the hip measurement because the waist can be cinched. The skirt will give you curves even if you don’t have them to begin with. Sizing is extremely forgiving because though it is designed to fit more high-waisted, it can be worn lower on the hips. Waist can be further adjusted with the cinch at the back.
Material: Brown tweed wool deadstock fabric with flecks of color. Deadstock is what is left over when larger fashion houses discard their fabric and by using it, we are striving to keep more fabric out of landfills. This also ensures we are not participating in the new fabric industry, which is extremely harmful on our planet. Want to know more about deadstock fabric? Click here.
Details: Though it is not a traditional riding skirt, I have ridden in it. Buttons can be undone from the bottom up to show a bit of leg. Super cute styled with a pinafore and/or with packer boot.
Two front pleats and two back pleats at waist.
Antique buttons down the front.
Back cinch closure.

This skirt is absolutely beautiful and incredibly warm! Every time I wear it, I receive compliments from women of every age and style!
It’s truly perfect and clearly made to last!

I love this skirt as it has such a feminine look. It goes with a surprising number of different tops / cardigans. I love pairing it with my Pop Eddy cardigan or the long duster (keep the collaborations with Alpacas of Montana coming!) or just with a simple merino long sleeve. It is not too hot to wear in warmer weather, especially without a petticoat. With the petticoat and / or leggings, it is warmer than any pants ever could be. Very tempted to by another one in a different color.

I am truly obsessed with this skirt. I have had two cotton Lacey Jean skirts for years and wear them all the time, but this wool one is going to be my new winter uniform, because I’m going to wear it every single day. Thank you!!
