You know we have a tough time throwing any materials away, including our leather scraps. As part of our Zero-ish waste initiative, we’ve finally found a way to reuse our leather scraps. We took inspiration from a vintage belt and had a dye made to use up all of our smaller leather pieces leftover from the Corset Belts & Tool Bags.
The result is a classy, feminine, woven belt that is completely adjustable. We suggest ordering a size up if you are unsure of sizing because you can un-snap the buckle strap, remove some of the belt pieces, and snap the buckle strap back on. The recommendation to order a larger size is good since the belt is adjustable. I ordered a size medium. I wore it on my work pants with belt loops and it just fits through. I think to make the belt really nice would be the use a heavier leather for the strap with the holes for wearing for pants, but I look forward to using it as a waist cinch belt for dresses and for work pants. The brown and brass buckle is a perfect staple, I hope to wear this for years.
