We’re a little sentimental over here at RevivALL and strive to make clothing with a story. This Grandpa style cardigan is a perfect example. We based this design off of a cardigan that Laura’s Grandpa, Pop Eddie, would wear on a daily basis. He was most likely found smoking his pipe in his recliner wearing this cardigan all winter and when he passed away, her Grandma kept it close to remind her of her love.
When Grandma Mary (cue the Rosemary Dress) crossed over, Laura inherited Pop Eddie’s beloved cardigan. After having so much success working with Alpacas of Montana on the Campfire Duster, she decided to make a couple of changes to the cardigan and offer it to you as a year-round staple.
The Pop Eddie Cardigan is a lightweight, warm sweater that can be worn throughout many seasons. It is a beautiful, rich green color with flecks of a dark teal. With it’s suede elbow patches (Laura hand sewed them on the photographed sample so please excuse the rough stitching) and oversized fit, it’s sure to be classic meant to be worn for years to come. Perhaps it will even get passed on to the next generation?
