*Note-this pattern has been adjusted so the waist is wider at the bottom and 1/2″ longer than the flannel long sleeve version. Due to the cuffs on the sleeves, the cost of the linen, and the lace detail, this version takes 3 times longer to make than the long sleeve version, hence the increase in cost.*

When thinking about making a perfect crop top, I had a few key points in mind.

Tucking in a shirt sucks. It always gets bunched up. A great crop top will end right where your favorite high waisted bottoms start.
Muffin Tops aren’t cute but we all have them! A great crop top has no elastic to pinch your waist.
Keep it Classy. No need to show belly, it just needs to end in the perfect spot.

If pioneer women wore crop tops, this would be it! Two darts at the bust allows room for the girls. This top is great for well endowed women.

MATERIAL-This shirt is sewn from dead stock navy linen material. Dead stock is what is left over when larger fashion houses discard their fabric and by using it, we are striving to keep more fabric out of landfills. This also ensures we are not participating in the new fabric industry, which is extremely harmful on our planet.

This blouse is exactly as pictured: style, colour, and lace detail all match the photos. I chose the small, which is a bit big in the bust for me but it still fits me well because of my broad shoulders. The fabric is soft, the zipper solid, and all the seams are finished (my mother is a dressmaker so the first thing I do is turn something inside out to see how it’s made). I also love this detail: the zipper at the back zips from bottom to top. Much easier to get in and out for those of us without a lady’s maid 🙂 And big collars are so “in” this Fall. A bit of much needed fashion for my work Zoom calls. Overall, a quality, hand made product. I will be back for more!
