One of our biggest goals of 2020 was to add a sweater to the collection. Well, we all know how 2020 went…Before the global pandemic began, it had become clear that sweater manufacturing in the United States is all but gone. We wanted to keep it local anyway and remembered that Alpacas of Montana was right down the street. Forget wool, we had alpacas nearby!
After meeting with the owners, James and Sarah, it was clear we were all on the same page with intention, quality, and ethos. They contacted their mill in Peru and we began the collaboration. After about of year of research and development, we have a winner-the Campfire Duster. A super soft, cozy, durable, warm, stylish, and practical sweater duster. With deep button closed side pockets and buttons down the middle, this sweater is a great transition piece. It works well as a jacket, sweater, or robe to wear around the house.

oooh I am obsessed with this piece. It’s heavy enough that I can probably use it as a heavy-ish jacket in the colder fall months. It’s so thick, soft, and warm – just made so so well. LOVE!!! <3 <3 Finally! Waited all summer for this duster, which is fine because it was too hot to wear it then. Now that it's September the weather is turning perfect. This thing is soo cozy. It's like a hug from your grandma, a cup of tea and a warm-from-the-oven chocolate chip cookie all at once! I love the elbow patches most of all, but the fit is wonderful! I'm 5'6" with 41.5" hips and the medium fit like a glove.

I’m never taking this sweater off! It’s so beautifully made, and the perfect weight/warmth for chilly New England weather. I love the tiny flecks of color in the yarn, and the bone buttons are gorgeous. I can tell it will last a lifetime, even with a ton of wear, and it matches everything. It’s so cozy I’ve been purposely ignoring my wood stove so that I don’t get warm enough to take it off haha. I’m usually an XS/S, but currently 7 months pregnant, aprox. 140 lbs, 5’6” and the Small fits perfectly. This sweater is so sophisticated and cozy! I originally ordered a medium (5’5″ 165lbs) and ended up exchanging for a small which fits perfectly and is a bit more fitted, which I prefer. I am already in love with this piece of clothing and it’s only been a couple hours of wearing it 🙂

I’ve been eying this duster since its launch and was nervous about the fit. I’m a tall and slender gal, 5’11”, 130 pounds and always struggle with fit because my arms basically drag on the ground. Well, I went for a medium after pestering Laura and her team for the shoulder to wrist length. Let me just say, I hiked up a soggy hill in the pouring rain, opened the box, gasped at the color (it has flecks of blues and rusty reds), and put it on immediately. The warmth wrapped around me and the sleeves go right to my wrist (well, maybe just above it but like I said, my arms are loooong). I’m in love, warm, and my kitty also approves because there’s enough for her to sit on it while in my lap. So glad I finally bought it. Get one, it’s 100% worth it and the bone buttons are gorgeous.

Wowwowow! This might be the nicest piece of clothing I own. I’m 5’9″ 145lb and the medium is a perfect, cozy fit. The thick, soft yarn creates a beautiful sturdy weave. The pockets are an essential feature for me, as well as the button front, not too tight on my chest, no pulling apart at the buttons (often a problem for a fitted garment for me) The elbow patches actually align with my elbows. The pockets don’t bulge out at the hips. A perfect, sleek silhouette. I’m definitely considering investing in a black one as well, if my size is restocked. Thank you for this (sustainably produced!!) treasure.

It’s already been said, but this is such a beautiful piece. The quality is wonderful; this sweater is expertly crafted! The material is super soft, warm, and cozy. It’s the perfect weight to wear as a jacket in Autumn and sturdy enough to last a life time! I know I’m echoing the other reviews, but this sweater is absolutely worth every penny.

I bought this duster for my daughter and the black one for myself. Size wise it is perfect. I am aboiut 5’5 and 108 pounds; the small is just small enough to still be cuddly. I bought the oatmeal color for my daughter, who is about 5’5 and 130 pounds – she loves it! Excellent quality and I hope to have it for many years to come. It is very warm and I keep it nearby to wear right out of bed.

I have been watching these sweaters since they launched, and when they went on sale shortly before my 35th birthday, I took the dive. I love it, I was drawn to the black more, but knew in my heart, with my multi dog household and my job in veterinary medicine, that I would actually like the oatmeal better, and holy cow! It’s a beautiful, complex, and complimentary color, and doesn’t show hair! The elbow patches actually cover my elbows, and the structure of this sweater keeps it from looking frumpy, while still feeling incredibly cozy. It does shed a bit, but I am thinking that will slow down as I wear it, and wear it I will! I am happy to tell everyone who compliments me on it that I got it from a Bozeman based, woman owned, ran, and operated business!

I have had my duster for a while. I wanted to wait to see how it wore to review it. It’s been over a month now and I still love it. I am 5’4′ and 150+ lbs. I think I got a Large or Xtra large and I just love love love it.
I could have sized down, but I like the extra cozy. It’s cute. It’s warm. It breaths. It goes w/ everything and the elbow pads are so fashionable and practical. It’s so cool to have this Revivall piece in my wardrobe.
The only single thing about it that might be a bummer is that it sheds. I sell merchandise from home, including T-shirts and have to be careful not to wear the duster when I’m doing that. Also, I haven’t washed it, yet… so hopefully there won’t be any major surprises when I do that.
Beyond all that, the price is competitive w/ other alpaca dusters and cardigans from bigger companies. If you are wavering about this purchase, JUMP ON IT.
